Study Skills, Time Management, and Testing Strategies

Do you ever feel like you just do not know how to study or what to study? Do you hate feeling like there is not enough time in the day or you have to pull all-nighters just to get your work done? Do you begin to feel anxious or nervous when a test is coming up? This week’s Academic Success Workshop is covering just that sort of thing. We will discuss various study skills and methods that may help you find the most effective way for you to study. We will also cover time management and how to plan your schedule so there is enough time in the day. Rest and relaxation is more important than one may think. Lastly, we will discuss testing strategies and some helpful hints that may ease the anxiety or stress of upcoming tests. This seminar will help provide resources and hints on how to find your most effective study habits whether it is for a test or just homework in general.

All Seminars will take place in the Student Union room 419.

Next Week’s Seminar: Writing College Essays and Papers

Click here for the semester schedule.  Seminars are mandatory for students on financial aid contracts, Bloch Scholars and Osher Scholars.  Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes.  Students must sign in within 10 minutes of the seminar starting to receive credit.
