Study Tip: Achieving Academic Success

I can clearly remember my first day as a college freshman at UMKC. I was sitting in Royall Hall 111 with around 500 other nervous students at 7:40AM waiting for General Chemistry I to begin. I remember feeling completely incompetent with regards to studying and understanding the material. However, I took the good advice of some more experienced students and came up with my own way of succeeding. Five years later, I would like to share this advice with you.

Take Note! FAFSA and Financial Aid Deadlines

UMKC’s priority deadline to complete the FAFSA is March 1. You can still complete it after this date; you just may not receive all the awards you are eligible for.

Currently enrolled UMKC students may apply for competitive institutional scholarships by completing the competitive scholarship application. It is due, along with 2 letters of recommendation, on March 1.

Other opportunities provided by the University can be found on the financial aid website. Links to school-specific scholarships are provided below.
