In an effort to increase first-time college enrollment at UMKC, a strategic scholarship plan has been developed in conjunction with recommendations provided by consulting firm Ruffalo Noel Levitz. This plan consists of increasing scholarship funding in first-time college merit-based awards beginning in the fall of 2019 to remain competitive in the market while maximizing net tuition revenue.

The competitive scholarship application can be completed and submitted on-line by logging-in at this site. You will also need to submit 2 letters of reference. Some scholarships also require completion of the FAFSA. All application materials must be submitted by March 1, 2018.
Additional scholarship opportunities may be available within your Academic Unit and department. Be sure to check with your advisor to learn more.
Don’t miss out on money! The 2017-2018 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now available! Every student should submit an application to see what you may qualify for–not only federal loans, but many scholarships and grant programs (FREE money) use the FAFSA to determine need eligibility.
NEW priority deadline is February 1, 2017. UMKC’s School Code is 002518.
Tip: When entering tax information into the FAFSA, consider using the IRS Data Retrieval tool. It’s fast, easy and accurate.
