New UMKC Alert System testing this week

By , June 28, 2016 9:38 am

alertThe University of Missouri System has installed a new emergency alert program for the four campuses. The Rave program replaces the former Alert system but works in a similar manner.  In the event of a natural disaster, violent event or weather-related campus closing, an alert message will be transmitted to all faculty, staff and students via email, voice and text.

We have scheduled a TEST of the new Rave program for Wednesday, June 29 at 1 p.m. The test is required by federal law. Recipients will be notified that this is a test of the new system, and not an actual emergency.

For questions, please contact Bridget Koan, or 816-235-6678.
