Curbs, sidewalks and crosswalks ADA repairs are scheduled for areas on the Volker Campus starting mid-June and running through Aug. 12.

The work includes the demolition and removal of existing curb and gutter; and installation and improvement to curb, pavement and sidewalks.

The five locations are:

• Intersection of Cherry Street and Bixby Lane
• Intersection of Cherry Street and 51^st Street
• Intersection of Cherry Street and 52^nd Street
• South side of 50^th Street between Rockhill Road and Troost Avenue
• 51^st Street between Holmes Street and Rockhill Road

Temporary lane and sidewalk closures and or/detours should be expected during this time. The contractor will provide for and maintain access to all facilities throughout the duration of construction, and will provide traffic control, signage and fencing as necessary.

Good news!  Student parking permits will now be mailed directly to you.  The goal with this new process is to eliminate the long lines and wait time going into the Parking and Transportation office at the beginning of each semester to pick up a parking pass. 

What is different – during the application process a temporary permit will be available to print out.  Simply place the temporary permit on your dash until the official permit arrives in the mail.  Students will still need to visit the office for a replacement permit.
