June 29: Test date for new emergency notification system

The University of Missouri System has installed a new emergency alert program for the four campuses. The Rave program replaces the former Blackboard Alert system but works in a similar manner. In the event of a natural disaster, violent event or weather-related campus closing, an alert message will be transmitted to all faculty, staff and students via email, voice and text.

We have scheduled a TEST of the new Rave program for Wednesday, June 29 at 1 p.m. The test is required by federal law. Recipients will be notified that this is a test of the new system, and not an actual emergency.
