The UMKC Garden Collective is sponsoring a film presentation and national webinar April 17th starting at 5:30pm in the Student Union, room 302.

The Island President is a film about the Maldives, an island nation south of India that is suffering from rising water levels due to climate change.

After the film there will be a webinar for colleges to participate in a national conversation on democracy and climate.

The UMKC Garden Collective is a student run community garden at 5306 Holmes.  It is open to all students, faculty, and community members. The Collective operates around its core principle “take what you need and give the rest away.”
