FAFSA Frenzy on Feb 28th

FAFSAYou’re probably getting tax documents in the mail right around now…this should also remind you that it’s time to update your FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The FAFSA determines your eligibility for financial aid–and not just federal aid!  Federal aid includes Stafford loans, work study, and Pell Grants (free money!), but the FAFSA is also used to determine eligibility for other aid, such as the UMKC Advantage Grant and other need-based programs.

While you can apply for aid throughout the aid year, many aid programs are limited (especially scholarships and grant funds), so submit your FAFSA by UMKC’s priority deadline of March 1st–our school code 002518.

Need help filing your FAFSA?  Join the UMKC Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for FAFSA Frenzy in the Student Union on February 28th from 2-4pm.
