UMKC RecycleMania!

UMKC returns to the nationwide competition Spring 2013 RecycleMania!  This is a great opportunity to show UMKC cares about of our planet and continues to promote healthy lifestyles.

This will be the 5th year of competition and our campus has placed consistently higher amongst other schools since 2008.  Last spring UMKC ranked 13th out of 242 campuses and our goal in 2013 is to rank in the top 10!  Missouri Governor Jay Nixon recently recognized UMKC for our outstanding participation.  This year, we ask you to come and join in on the fun and help our campus community be recognized for its eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

The competition runs through the end of March 2013.  Please plan to participate in the competition by recycling all your paper, cardboard, Plastics 1-7 and food organics for composting.

If there are any questions about recycling or the upcoming competition you can contact the Sustainability Office student work-study Brian K. Floyd at bkftg6@umkc.edu
