2011 Robert F. Kennedy Symposium
The UMKC Student Government Association presents “Making Change for the Future” 42nd Annual Robert F. Kennedy Symposium.
Monday, April 11 features Dr. David Walton presenting “Living a Purpose Driven Life” from 6-8pm at the School of Medicine Theater Room A&B. Dr. Walton works to provide primary healthcare for the poor and disadvantaged. His current work is in Haiti helping over 500,000 impoverished people receive quality healthcare.
Thursday, April 14 is the keynote presentation, “Breaking Cycles” by Christopher Gardner from 7-9pm in the Student Union Theater. Gardner’s autobiography, The Pursuit of Happyness, chronicles his experiences as a homeless father in San Francisco and his rise to business success.
