Meredith Publishing, Local Media Group and Corporate Internships: Semester internship available at broadcasting station in Fairway, KS This particular Internship is a structured, part-time approximately 150/225 hours during the academic semester. It is designed to provide meaningful and challenging projects, specifically designed to enhance content distribution through new technologies that are immediate and easily accessible. The Internship program is designed to augment a student’s academic studies. Essential Job Functions 100% – Experience and assist in the various jobs related to broadcast news.

The USSSA Midwest Media intern will have a hands-on learning experience and will acquire a wide variety of skill sets required for a career in sports broadcasting, media, or journalism. Interns will learn the entire story telling process, including writing, filming, interviewing, reporting, editing, producing, live streaming, and posting content to several websites and social media platforms. On the weekends, interns will assist filming softball, baseball, and basketball games and will post to social media about the events. During the week interns will assist production of USSSA Midwest News and other promotional videos. A flexible schedule on the weekend and/or Monday through Wednesday is required. Intern Duties Description:
• Applicants should be well versed in the basics of production and content development.
• Applicants for this position must be organized and detail oriented.
• Development duties will include research, developing television concepts, organization,
team brainstorming and creative input.
• Production duties will include mentoring as a production assistant on set, running errands
and general studio upkeep.

Spring ’16 Ticket Sales/Service Internship – Sporting Kansas City (Kansas City, MO)
Sporting Kansas City is looking for energetic interns with a flexible schedule (approximately 15-20 hours a week) who enjoy sports, sales and entertainment. Interns should be available during the Spring (approximately mid-February to early-June).
In order to qualify for the Sporting KC Sales and Service Internship a student must:
(1) Have junior or senior standing and be enrolled in a four-year degree program, or be enrolled in a graduate program and be eligible to receive course credit for the internship.
