Our Marketing & Engagement team uses their communications skills to ensure that the stories, productions, and services of KCPT, Flatland and The Bridge and are told in the best ways possible. These teams enhance and play a critical role in coordinating a unified voice for all communications. And also help sustain our positive image in a fast-changing and complicated media landscape. Interns will be exposed to brand strategy, development of marketing plans, ad campaigns, and analyzing data. They should have at least two years of college experience in a related field.

Intern, Interpretation Paid Internship Summer 2018

Interpretive Planners are members of the Education and Interpretation Division. They work alongside curatorial and design staff to plan for special exhibitions or installations. Their primary focus is on framing the conceptual narrative of exhibitions, writing and/or editing gallery text (text panels, labels, etc.), and planning digital or analog interactives. While Interpretive Planners may help plan gallery activities, they do not directly teach workshops, give tours, or plan public programs. Schedule Approximately 15 hours each week. The hours are to occur sometime during the regularly scheduled office hours, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening or weekend hours may occasionally be requested. This schedule is flexible and the amount of hours per week depends upon work load and the intern’s schedule. Stipend The intern will receive a $1,000 stipend as payment for their work.
