POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The graphic design intern supports the marketing and communications team by developing creative, graphic solutions including print, digital, social media, and ongoing projects. The design intern will gain valuable insight into a high- performance marketing environment. This is a temporary, paid internship. The Intern is asked to commit to 180 work hours to be completed over a set, prescribed time period in alignment with their coursework.

MSP Fall 2018 All Sports Media Multi-Media Journalist Intern USSSA

Job Responsibilities: 
·       Film interview, highlights, and B-roll at tournaments/events
·       Edit footage and write scripts for sportscasts, stories, and promo videos
·       Perform on camera standups and interviews at tournaments
·       Interview participants at events on Facebook Live
·       Conduct in-studio interviews with players/coaches
·       Anchor and produce daily sportscasts
·       Post videos to Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
·       Grow social media engagement through creative videos and posts
·       Design graphics and lower thirds for video
·       Archive and organize footage

Time Period
Internship will span over a semester of college and involves about 600 hours (Can be flexible based on needs)Hours
We can offer flexible hours during the week. They can either be full or partial days and either a full week or just a few days per week.

Job Responsibilities:
·       Email communication to teams (players, parents, coaches)
·       Oversees social media accounts
·       Works with graphic design intern on social media graphics
·       Distributes marketing flyers
·       Responsible for weekly newsletter and all input
·       Communicates with community project reps for community events
·       Manages website updates
·       Creates media outlines for weekend events
·       In charge of distributing recaps and previews needed for upcoming weekends (as well as writes them)
·       Manages marketing calendar
·       Distributes and tracks gift certificates when applicable
·       Sponsorship activation
·       Responsible for “MSP family” communication (new coaches appreciation)
·       Manages scholarship fund happenings (scholarship apps, committee, etc)
·       Communicates directly and closely with Director of Communications and Director of Special Projects

MSP Fall 2018 Community Outreach Intern with USSSA in Kansas City, KS

Midwest Sports Productions is excited about using our platform for a positive change in youth sport. This includes running Impact Tournaments that raise awareness, donations, and funds for worthy causes; providing community service opportunities; and promoting good character on and off the field.

Job Description:

· Assist in day-to-day operations of a new initiative by MSP. This may involve making phone calls, emailing, organizing, making copies, odd jobs, etc.

· Assist in updating website with attention to detail
· Assist in completing the Community Playbook to be used as a model of how other events can give back
· Assist in organizing events by detailing action items
· Assist with donation drives
· Assist with communications for community events (social media, emails, phone, etc.)
· Assist in other areas of MSP such as marketing, event coordination, logistics, etc. if needed
· During events get hands-on experience by helping coordinate behind the scenes
