It is designed to provide meaningful and challenging projects, specifically designed to enhance content distribution through new technologies that are immediate and easily accessible. Work performed is for all media platforms and initiatives, including for example: on-air, web, digital and social media.

Overview

Sports Intern – Sports concentration in news department – 2019 fall semester only

Intern will work under the supervision of the Sports Department and the Executive Producer.  Intern will learn to write news stories and work on high school football Friday night program. Instruction is also provided in making graphics for stories and shooting and editing sports video, plus producing digital content for online and social.  Applicants must be college junior/senior or graduate level students. Internships run 12 weeks, 16-24 hours per week.  Must be available to work every Friday from end of August to mid-November.

Description:
An intern with PLUG Projects will provide support to the gallery directors to curate, promote, and program
exhibitions while engaging in active management of the gallery space.
Internship Duties:
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings
• Collaborate on conceptualizing and writing exhibition essays, press releases, and grants
• Update social networking (Facebook, Instagram, & website)
• Photographing and documenting programming events and exhibitions
• Support gallery programming and management
• Conduct research on prospective exhibitions, potential collaborators, and grant opportunities
