This position will support the Communications Team while gaining experience that may be applied to future career opportunities with the field of Communications, Marketing and Public Relations. The internship is planned to be 15 to 20 hours per week. The Intern will support the Communications Specialists and the Director in a variety of duties and projects, including writing, editing, graphic design, photography and videography. The Intern will complete projects for the city, the Lenexa Rec Center and Lenexa Public Market. The Internship is designed to be both educational and practical, and the successful applicant will complete the internship with numerous high-quality samples for their portfolio. The types of duties and projects vary based on the skills and background of the incumbent, but graphic design is a heavy component of this internship.
