Job Description

As a Content Marketing Intern, you will conduct keyword research and learn to write copy that is optimized for search engines. You will write copy for both Go Local Interactive and its clientele; working on projects such as static pages, location pages, blogs, and social media posts. You will receive continuous constructive criticism and be expected to use your editing experience and attention to detail to also provide feedback to Content team members. You should be able to work well with a team, as well as take initiative to meet goals and deadlines.

Job Expectations

Write copy for miscellaneous projects, including, but not limited to: static and location pages, blogs, social media posts, white-papers, and/or press releases

Edit, rewrite, and proofread existing content created for Go Local Interactive and its clientele

Adhere to branding guidelines, along with required voice and tone

Manage multiple projects and adapt to changes and revisions

Conduct keyword research

Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends

Job Qualifications

Must demonstrate strong conceptual and written communication skills with a deep understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, and vocabulary)

Must demonstrate a proven track record of improving personal performance after receiving direction and constructive criticism

Must demonstrate attention to detail while creating and revising projects

Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information

Must demonstrate creative and strategic thinking when solving problems

Demonstrated proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (in progress) in English, Journalism, Mass Communications or another related field or 2+ years of equivalent experience

Google Analytics Certification preferred

Demonstrating a basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization
