The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) is a 501(c)(3) leadership organization dedicated to empowering, developing and advancing the success of women. NACWAA is a powerful, dynamic network of women in sports who are blazing the path for future leaders. We provide educational programming, professional and personal development opportunities, information exchange and support services to promote the growth and leadership of women as administrators, coaches and student-athletes. NACWAA serves nearly 3,000 members representing more than 600 institutions nationwide.

NACWAA is currently seeking two Membership Services Interns to join its energetic and collaborative team. These are full-time, 12-month, paid positions, beginning in December 2016 and ending in December 2017, and are located in our Kansas City office in the lively Crossroads District. Internship duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of membership services, including membership retention and renewal, the NACWAA Advancement Initiative and member engagement opportunities and benefits
  • Website and association management system support
  • Day-to-day administrative tasks including answering phones and general office support
  • Assistance with all programming and events including the NACWAA National Convention, institutes and regional programming
  • Social media support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven attention to detail

Internship Period: December 5, 2016 – December 8, 2017; successful candidates will also be required to be in Kansas City, MO, October 8-12, 2016, to support national office staff at the NACWAA National Convention (all expenses to be paid by NACWAA).

Salary: $1,500/month
