We work with clients such as the Mid-Continent Library System, Kansas City Parks & Recreation, Kansas City Public Library, & KCMO Public Schools. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience learning about nonprofit communications and development. Literacy KC is looking for a Student Intern in Video Production/Marketing.

Intern duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Using video production equipment to collect videos and photos of various Literacy KC classes & events.
  • Independently creating and editing compelling and communicative videos that promote Literacy KC and its mission in a positive manner.
  • Assisting the Marketing & Communications Coordinator with content for social media, email blasts, newsletters, etc.

 

Applicants should be:

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in photography/videography
  • Have a working knowledge of video production software such as Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, & Adobe CS6.
  • Able to handle multiple projects at once
  • Highly personable
  • Detail oriented
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year institution

Internship begins Summer 2016 (June 1st): This is an unpaid internship for students, however class credit is available. Interns will be expected to work 20 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend hours required.
