The University of Kansas Cancer Center seeks an energetic, self-starter to assist in communications, PR and marketing efforts for the organization. This part-time (30 hours per week) paid summer internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of communications and marketing while working for a nonprofit healthcare organization.
Internship responsibilities may include:
- Assist with drafting and entering content into the Website Content Management System
- Assist with writing/design/development of marketing collateral (brochures/fliers, digital media, Facebook ads)
- Support social media efforts – may include content writing, photography, planning, research, analysis
- Support special events and other projects
- Help with additional projects that support the mission of KU Cancer Center
Requirements:
- You must be a college sophomore, junior, senior enrolled in a degree program including completion of some communications/journalism and/or PR/marketing courses by the application deadline date.
- Strong writing/grammar skills
- Solid social media skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop preferred
