Job Description
VML is all about putting everything we are into everything we do. We’re a full-service advertising agency that thrives on moving brands forward by inspiring a human connection — which is found by walking a mile in someone else’s shoes.

At VML it’s not just the job you want — it’s who you are that matters. Are you passionate? Are you thoughtful? Do you believe in what you’re putting out into the world? We connect consumers to what they care about by being authentic.

We’re reframing traditional planning for a more connected age. We have assembled a talented and diverse team of experts and are looking for a junior planner who will be an active part of this growing global group.

If you have a knack for noticing all of the little idiosyncrasies of people around you, like to explore many different ways to solve a problem before you actually solve it, and see an ad and try to figure out why it was awesome (or not), then you might just be our next junior planner.

We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Inspire great work
  • Champion the consumer
  • Write and deliver written and visual creative briefs
  • Work across a variety of brands
  • Influence and challenge our creative teams

As part of the WPP Group, VML offers one of the best overall compensation packages in the business. VML is headquartered in Kansas City.

Required Skills
  • Junior, senior or nontraditional student in college or recent graduate with coursework or experience in a related field
  • Infinitely interested in understanding people
  • Natural-born storyteller
  • Team player mentality and a positive attitude
  • Ability to jump in and help however you’re needed
  • Ability to notice all the little things about people that others might miss

VML is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
