Forget “special projects” for newbies, our Communications Intern will enjoy a hands-on learning experience in production where you will assist Garmin’s Marketing Communication department in a team-oriented environment under supervision.

We are looking for a full time Communications Intern for our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will assist in video production, editing, music, motion graphics, and photography.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist production team as needs arise
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental procedures
  • Represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings and conferences

Qualifications
Qualified candidates for this role will possess the following education, experience and skills:

  • Pursing a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, or another related major
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of the intricacies of production
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates exceptional writing skills and knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines
  • Proficiency in word processing and database programs


Candidates with experience in/enthusiasm for navigation, consumer electronics, wireless, fitness, and/or automotive electronics is preferred.
