The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is actively searching for a Summer Intern who is studying both Human Resources and Hospitality Management. The internship is a full time position for at least 10 weeks beginning in May through August 2016. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule. The hotel’s internship program is designed to provide practical work experience and an introduction into Marriott’s culture and management philosophy.

The Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to work in a busy Human Resources Office and assist in many areas i.e. recruitment, training, new hire orientation, and other general human resources responsibilities as well as coordinating the communication and organization of the other interns in the hotel. The individual will also be able to job shadow fora minimum of eight hours in an area of your choice, take part in one of the hotel’s five committees, and participate in a focus group with the General Manager and the Senior Director of Human Resources.
