Under the supervision of the Communications Manager, this internship opportunity will serve as a training ground for college level students enrolled in a journalism, business or public administration program with an emphasis or concentration in Communications or Public Relations. The employee performs skilled and semi-skilled activities assigned by the Communications Manager. Attempts will be made to make assignments that will broaden the employee’s experience and benefit the City organization. This employee should possess strong communication, writing, organizational, social media and public relations skills. Pay range for this position will begin at $14.50 per hour.Position Responsibilities
- Draft web content to increase public understanding of the value of the City’s services an the City’s role in creating a safe, sustainable and engaging community.
- Responsible for taking pictures and/or videos of assigned locations and at community events for use on social media and in brochures and other publications including the CityLine.
