Our personalized service, strategy and creativity connect media, consumers and influencers across the globe, taking people to new places to change their view for the better.

We are looking for curious, motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in the exciting world of travel marketing and advertising in our Kansas City office. These are paid positions.

Program Details:

In each respective department, interns will be assigned a mentor to foster their professional development. Interns will be assigned real work with real clients. Interns will also work on a summer project as a group and present to the client and agency at large.

  • Client Services

Organize and coordinate efforts with all internal agency departments (media, creative, production, traffic, interactive, public relations and accounting). Create or maintain client status reports and conference reports. Facilitate all client media plans, ad production and ad fulfillment. Support our account management team.

  • Design

Conceptualize, draft and finalize needed solutions while working with creative and account teams throughout the design process. Support the creation of creative materials for both prospective client pitches and active jobs. Collaborate with writers, product managers and other stakeholders to meet goals and optimize campaign performance. Gain experience in creating graphics for large and small print materials as well as designing for implementation on the web. Shadow art directors, graphic designers, copywriters and production artists, learning their responsibilities while working on projects for both print and web.

Projects include design and production of travel magazines, brochures, direct mail pieces, web-based marketing, online advertisements and assisting with creative department administrative tasks.

  • Copywriting

Work with senior-level creative team members across various client business. Write headlines and short form copy for travel publications. Compose long-form copy for travel brochures and mailers. Proof or edit printed pieces. Assist with drafting potential branding campaigns and initiatives. Write social media posts and digital communications.

  • Social Media

Assist in the ideation and creation of monthly content, social media reporting, managing and growing social communities, and executing social media campaigns. Schedule content for all social media channels for a wide range of client portfolios. Source and secure approval of user-generated content for use in social channels. Assist with social media reporting that includes an analysis of current social activity and future marketing recommendations based on trend data. Communicate about timely social media news and trends.

  • Media

Traffic digital media assets to vendors. Process digital media reporting (create reports, format data, etc.). Assist with broadcast campaigns Lead 2–3 research projects, and present findings to the media department. Schedule educational vendor presentations and serve as the point of contact for follow-up correspondence with media partners.

  • Marketing Technology (Web)

Schedule/coordinate with managers and prep our Content Entry team when there are content maintenance requests. Aid CRM team with content and editorial calendars and the reporting and Quality Assurance of email testing. Help Project Managers build maintenance work timelines. Learn the ins and outs of our content management systems including Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco, etc., and learn how to make website content updates.

  • Planning and Data Strategy

Work with the measurement team to understand the role of a marketing analyst and how those skills will translate in terms of the group. Enter data for custom data sets. Work with Channel Mix (a third-party data provider) to connect new data sources and request new data sets. Test data sets in Tableau and compare them to reporting platforms to ensure the accuracy of the data structure. Refresh and maintain ADARA Impact, Place IQ and Arriva list data for our clients that are Destination Marketing Organizations. Work with the planning team to understand the role of a strategic planner. Build pivot tables based on raw data. Aid in research and analytics for new business projects.

Internships will run from June 8, 2020, through August 7, 2020. The internships will be full time, up to 30 hours per week.
