Marketing and Research Internship

Internship Objective:

The goal of the TC Internship program is to provide students with experience in the implementation of various communications and marketing objectives that advance TC’s mission of streamlining the efficient completion of transactions and projects by keeping documents and information secure, organized, and accessible for all parties. 

Internship Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of TC’s marketing plan
  • Collect, analyze, and present market research, Google analytics, and other relevant data
  • Assist with TC social media programs, email marketing campaigns, digital advertising, and other business development activities
  • Learn processes  and procedures necessary to implement assigned responsibilities
  • Become familiar with the design and function of TC’s transaction solution
  • Interface and build relationships with current  and potential customers
  • Other duties and projects as may be assigned by TC management
  • Spend approximately 15 hours per week on the completion of assigned projects.

Qualifications and Skills Required: Consideration will only be given to students with Junior, Senior, or Graduate level standing who are enrolled in Journalism, Marketing, Communications Studies, or similar degree program at the University during the 2018 Spring Semester or Summer Semester and possess at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.   Internships will only be offered to students who are enrolled in classes that provide course credit at the University during the semester in which the Internship occurs. Strong verbal and social media communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, creativity, flexibility, good time management skills, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, an outgoing personality, and an ability to deliver completed projects in a timely manner are required.  

Duration and Stipend:

Summer Semester (12 weeks, May 1 – July 31, 180 hours)  Stipend:   $1500

Fall Semester (16 weeks, August 1 – November 30, 240 hours)  Stipend:   $2000
