Communications Intern – Burns & McDonnell

Description

The Communications Intern works on behalf of internal clients to execute campaigns, communications and projects. This position serves as a resource for internal communications, communication strategies and the internal brand identity. Additionally, this position will provide client service support to ensure that all communication objectives are executed timely and accurately.

  • Creates and edits short videos to be shared companywide.
  • Preforms the writing, editing and at times publishing for all assigned campaigns, award submittals, intranet posts, etc.
  • Compiles and presents digital marketing data and provide analytics on internal campaigns.
  • Assists with the publication of the monthly company newsletter and all other internal publications, the company intranet and enterprise social network platform.
  • Reviews, edits and/or creates presentations related to corporate culture and employee-ownership.

The Borgen Project is currently hiring a Public Relations/Marketing Intern who will work remotely.

This public relations intern will be involved in a variety of aspects of marketing and communications.

– Create a branding campaign.

– Conduct an informal focus group and gather feedback for market research.

– Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media.

– Create and implement a fundraising strategy.

– Plan, market and present at an informational meeting.

– Utilize social media and develop strategies for web-based messaging.

– Assist with The Borgen Project’s advocacy efforts.

– Take on assignments as needed.

Details: This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available. The internship is 12-hours per week for 12-weeks.
