A bus stop should an easy place to wait with a private seat, shade activities, people watching, drinks, food, news, card games, charging station, and Wi-Fi. It must be protected by the street.

At minimum a bus stop needs a newstand, maps, outdoor shelter, combinations of seats and styles facing each and some away from each other.

Access to restrooms, and food should be within ear shot of the bus station.

Placement of bus stops should be within a five minute walk roughly a one quarter of a mile from jobs, residences, shopping, and entertainment.
