The Internship Experience:

Allie Hennes, Communications and Marketing intern for summer and fall of 2016.  In her words:

“It has been such a pleasure serving as the Communications and Marketing Intern. The program provided me with hands-on experience and great insight. I value what I have learned and experienced during my time as an intern with the Arts Council of Johnson County.  It was so rewarding to serve as the liaison for the community and it taught me so much more than any classroom could.

Some of the projects I completed during my time as the Communications and Marketing intern include the following:

  • I worked with a fundraising material committee on developing a direct mail fundraising campaign.
  • I edited monthly newsletters.
  • I coordinated speakers and catering for the Smart Exchange program.
  • I sat in on committee and board meetings.”
