Empowering artists to create sustainable careers.

Recognizing the need and demand for entrepreneurship and business skills in the 21st-century artist, the Regnier Institute is partnering with arts education institutions like the UMKC Conservatory  and Kansas City Art Institute to develop business and entrepreneurship education programs specifically for students in the arts.

A higher number of students in the arts compared to other areas of study aspire to start their own business or act as a professional freelancer. Through arts entrepreneurship courses, co-curricular programs, and collaborations with Kansas City organizations, students learn skills and gain experience and confidence needed to pursue opportunities that align with their talents and professional desires. Additionally, these skills prepare students to be future leaders in existing organizations like arts not-for-profits and other creative enterprises.
