My name is Nicole Reeves and I am a senior at UMKC majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. I hope to to pursue law in the future. I have worked at the Women’s Center as a work study for ten month. Working here has allowed me to get more involved with the university. I was especially excited about the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event and I’m looking forward to the Love Your Body Fashion Show. The Women’s Center is also a place to relax with your friends and learn more about women’s issues. I have enjoyed going to UMKC, working in the Women’s Center and I will take what I have learned here and use it in my personal life after I graduate and my new journey begins.
Nicole I will have to second that statement you made about taking what you have learned with you throughput life. I have learned valuable lessons at the Women's Center that I do not think I could have learned at many other jobs. I have learned how to interact with people from different walks of life and different beliefs and this has opened my mind to the world. I can not wait to see what else I learn at this job.
