Rights of Witnesses
As a witness in the complaint resolution process, you are afforded a limited number of rights by the University:
- To be treated with respect by staff, faculty, and administrators
- To have access to University support resources (link) and to have assistance in obtaining that access by contacting the Title IX Coordinator/Equity Officer (link)
- To request a No Contact Directive between yourself and others
- To request and be granted amnesty from disciplinary action under 200.010 Standard of Conduct (link) for minor student conduct violations at the discretion of the Title IX Coordinator/Equity Officer
- To be free from retaliation for reporting a violation, filing a formal complaint, or participating in an investigation or resolution process
