Feminist Coming Out Day (FCOD) will be celebrated on March 8th which also marks International Women’s Day. FCOD started at Harvard University where the queer and feminist student groups teamed up to raise awareness about gender equality and issues affecting the queer community. This year they want to expand the awareness to high schools and universities all over the country. We can help promote this event by visiting the FCOD official website and uploading photos and testimonials that answer the questions: Why are you a feminist? What does a feminist look like?
The Women’s Center will be having various tabling events, selling T-shirts and providing information about Feminist Coming Out Day. Declare your support for gender equality by visiting our tables to get your picture taken for inclusion on our FCOD display board and writing down your confession of why you are a feminist!
