On a Slightly Lighter Note

For those of us who have seen actresses consistently fall out of the spotlight once they hit their 40’s (and heck, even their 30’s for some), it is really refreshing and hopeful to see someone still maintain box office power at 59:

That being said, it is still very discouraging to see the overall lack of movies featuring women as the main role or targeted at women. Despite the box office hits of Sex and the City and Twilight, movie companies are still reluctant to funnel money towards projects that have a target audience of females. What’s up with that, Hollywood?
