University of Missouri, Kansas City, Faculty Practice dentist, Dr. Thomas Vopat has been practicing dentistry since 1979 after he received his doctorate of dental surgery from Creighton University.

Dr. Vopat also teaches at the UMKC School of Dentistry and has received 14 Distinguished Teacher Awards. Committed to education, Dr. Vopat is a Diplomate in the Special Care Dentistry Association, a Fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities and a Fellowship in Dental Education in Care of the Disabled. Dr. Vopat also takes major continuing education courses in special care dentistry and implant restorations.

Dr. Vopat is married and has two children.
