Ali Hanan

Dr. Ali is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences at the UMKC School of Dentistry starting 2021. She teaches in both the clinical and preclinical laboratory settings, as well as serving as an attending faculty for the AEGD residents.

In 2007, Dr. Ali earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Benghazi Faculty of Dentistry and completed the General Practice Residency Program in 2008. She worked as a Private General Practitioner for four years and as an Instructor at the Prosthodontics Department at University of Benghazi. She earned a Masters of Biomedical Materials Science degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2016 and completed the Prosthodontic Residency training program in 2021. While at SUNY UB, Dr. Ali volunteered as an instructor for predoctoral students in preclinical and clinical settings.

She is an active pursuit of certification and fellowship of the American Board of Prosthodontics and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is an active member in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetic, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and of the American College of Prosthodontists.
