ProX is a Real World Learning (RWL) initiative providing summer professional experiences for high school students in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Students engage in a 5-week paid summer internship or project supervised by a professional mentor. In 2022, over 430 students participated in the program.

UERC serves as an evaluation partner for this project, providing input on evaluation tools and conducting analysis of student and employer survey data.  Findings from the evaluation are used to assess implementation and outcomes, including employer and student satisfaction, essential skill development, career literacy, and interest in college and career opportunities.

The evaluation is completed in partnership with ProX, The DeBruce Foundation, and the Kauffman Foundation.
