The University of Missouri – Kansas City is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (, a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Our last Reaffirmation of Accreditation was 2009-2010. UMKC recently completed a comprehensive review on December 2 and 3, 2019. HLC Institution Action Council continued the accreditation of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2029-30.
