Description: A one week intensive technique and orchestral excerpt boot camp for middle and high school string students. The goal of the week is to get students back into shape on their instrument after summer vacation and prepare them for the seating placement auditions at the Kansas City Youth Symphony. Students will have assigned group and individual practice sessions and lessons. The workshop will end with a mock audition where students will receive feedback.

This camp is a great experience for students who have upcoming placement auditions, or are considering auditioning next year and would like to see how the process works! Skills learned at this boot camp can be applied toward any audition. This camp will meet 1pm – 5pm.
