Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy degree program. (American Music Therapy Association, AMTA)
All services are provided by a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC credential) who has completed the required education, training and has successfully passed the national board certification exam.
Evidence-based music therapy interventions are provided to children and adults with disabilities and health needs through individual and group sessions. Therapeutic goals will be determined through an initial assessment and continued treatment.
We are currently offering in-person and digital session options. Please directly discuss with your clinician which option you are both more comfortable with.
The Academy offers private music therapy sessions at the rates below:
Private Summer Sessions: May 30 - July 31 (clients starting mid-semester will receive prorated tuition)
Semester Length (8 weeks)
8 Sessions @ $40.00
8 Sessions @ $55.00
8 Sessions @ $75.00
The Academy charges an annual $60.00 registration fee for private music therapy sessions. The registration fee is divided between semesters ($25.00 for Fall and Spring, and $10.00 for Summer) so that if a client takes a semester off or starts late in the semester they do not have to pay the entire annual amount. For individual transactions, a $3.00 administration fee is assessed. Group class registration fees are rolled into the total tuition amount.
Groups: Groups will be constructed based on current clientele. If there is not an appropriate group established to meet your/your child’s needs, we will put you on a waiting list. If you are a facility that is interested in group sessions provided through the Music Therapy clinic, please contact us directly to discuss how our community site services are conducted.
