Missouri Online Proposal

(UMKC Existing Programs to Missouri Online)

The Provost’s Office welcomes proposals for existing academic programs to be listed with Missouri Online (https://online.missouri.edu/).  Qualifications for UMKC programs to be considered include:

  • Verification that the program already exists in the catalog
  • No curricular changes except for a modality change from face-to-face/hybrid to include fully available (100%) online, which may include asynchronous and synchronous components as well as the RooFlex modality
  • Program must be an undergraduate major, master’s program, graduate/undergraduate certificate, or dual degree program
  • At least 50% of program courses and instructional faculty should be online certified at the time of proposal submission to CourseLeaf
  • Unit dean approval

In order to ensure that designation of 100% online programs are consistent across the UMKC Catalog, the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (MDHEWD), and Missouri Online, nominated programs for next year’s catalog must be received by December 1 of the academic year. Programs are reviewed by the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Innovation, the Vice Provost for Curriculum and Assessment, and the Courseleaf/catalog administrator before being sent to the Provost for final approval.

To commence review, please submit the following to Courseleaf at this link:
