UMKC is partnering with the AIDS Walk – this year in an even bigger way. The planning committee has adapted the route so that approximately one third of the walk will be on our campus. More than 3,500 walkers are expected to participate in the free event.
The AIDS Walk Kansas City 2015 will be held on Saturday, April 25 at Theis Park. The walk is 3.4 miles and will take approximately 2.5 hours. Registration opens at 8am; the program begins at 9; and the walk starts at 10am.
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer along the UMKC section of the route to provide direction and support, visit the SignUpGenius at UMKC Walk. Please sign up by Wednesday, April 8—the first 40 volunteers will receive a FREE T-shirt.
