Congratulations to Dr. Clovis Semmes, UMKC Professor of Sociology and Black Studies, who received the “2017 Outstanding Book Award” for his book, The End of Black Studies: Conceptual, Theoretical, and Empirical Concerns, at the National Council for Black Studies at its recent annual conference.
Anthropology Associate Professor, Dr. Jenny Huberman, started off 2016 by traveling to England to present at paper at “The Futures of the End of Life Symposium” at Lancaster University.
