UMKC Sociology Department alumna, Sarah Alnazer (May 2014), recently had her capstone paper entitled “Overall Health and Well-being of Female Veterans Compared to Their Male Counterparts”, published with Lucerna. Sarah was interviewing for a job recently and the director she interviewed with was a retired veteran who was interested her topic and research methods so they spent the entire interview talking about her research. Needless to say, she got the job! Sarah emailed Dr. Sookhee Oh, “I am very proud of my work and thank you for teaching me how to find data and analyze it, as well as encouraging me to submit it to Lucerna.” Sarah will be working as a data analyst for a local non-profit. We all wish Sarah well in her new job and congratulate her for getting her research published!
