UMKC Team Wins Area CFA Institute Competition

A team from the University of Missouri-Kansas City has won the CFA Institute Research Challenge sponsored by the area chapter of the CFA Institute.

The three-student team, representing the Bloch School of Management, advances to the regional competition in Denver on March 18 and 19.

The annual competition, which last year drew about 3,500 business-school students from more than 775 universities and 55 countries, teaches best practices in equity research. Undergraduate and graduate finance students have an opportunity to analyze and present their investment recommendations on a publicly traded company.
