UMKC project good for urban core

The  Beacon Hill area of Kansas City is going through some positive changes, due, in part, to the new housing on Troost being built by the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The project, intended for students and employees from the nearby Hospital Hill complex, is attracting private investment in such developments as businesses and upscale homes near Bruce Watkins Drive; and, at the same time, a long-standing racial divide is being mended.
