Thirty-four academics recognized
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Missouri-Kansas City Office of the Provost – Academic Affairs will celebrate the promotion and tenure of 34 faculty and librarians at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Pierson Auditorium. The event honors and highlights each of the 2011 UMKC promotion and tenure recipients.
The promotion and tenure process involves a lengthy and rigorous review of academic performance in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Each of the academics recognized in this promotion and tenure celebration has demonstrated to their peers and to the administration that they have met high standards for sustained contributions and outstanding performance.
