The United States government is on a deadline. January 1st marks the date for government to enact regulations that would avert a prospective economic crisis.
On a recent segment of KCUR-FM’s Central Standard, host Jabulani Lefall interviewed University of Missouri-Kansas City economists Stephanie Kelton and Mat Forstater. They discussed the impact of the congress’ potential decisions, as well as how these decisions will affect the average American.
Forstater is a UMKC professor of Economics, and the founding director of the Center for Full Employment and Price Stability.
Kelton is an associate professor and Economics Department chair at UMKC, and a research scholar at both the UMKC Center for Full Employment and Price Stability, and the Levy Economics Institute in New York.
