The UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance’s Concert Jazz Band and 11 O’Clock Jazz Band, directed by Bobby Watson and Dan Thomas, respectively, have two gigs this spring, first at the Folly Theater for UMKC Jazz Night on the Folly for Five miniseries (March 16) and second in White Recital Hall for its final concert of the season (April 21). The Conservatory’s numerous Jazz Combos will perform originals and standards in Grant Recital Hall (April 7 and 14). Read more.
