A boring beverage? Not in this town. Local bartenders are putting some serious thought into their mixed drinks. As a result, Kansas City is beginning to reclaim its status as the Paris of the Plains.

Ink Magazine’s Sarah Gish recently wrote about the city’s cocktail culture, which will no doubt garner more attention during the upcoming Paris of the Plains Festival and Bartending Competition. Gish was interviewed on KCUR’s Central Standard, where she points Kansas City’s 21+ crowd toward the area’s best refreshments.
