UMKC eases finals stress with massages, therapy dogs

Finals are tough, but they shouldn’t make you crazy. That’s our philosophy. That’s also why our finals week was a little unconventional. We offered free massages in the Student Union, a late night breakfast in the Student Success Center, and a chance to cuddle with a therapy dog.

Free snacks here and there, along with extended hours in the Student Union’s coffee shop, were a must. On Monday and Tuesday, we even invited students to a midnight scream. They came in droves to scream out the stress.

These activities put a relaxing spin on an otherwise stressful time. Now that it’s all over, students are enjoying a well-deserved break.
